Shami

Wild Sol Healing Arts

Born in Los Angeles and harmonized in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Shami spent three years living nomadically, simplifying life, deepening her connection to herbalism, and curating healing sanctuaries at events across the country. She now lives off-grid in an Earthship in Taos.

Her work weaves massage therapy, Reiki energy alignment, and sound therapy into an intuitive, earth-rooted practice. She believes our connection to the land is inseparable from our physical, emotional, and energetic health, and curates each session with aromatherapy, soft lighting, and feng shui to calm the nervous system and restore balance.

Your Host

JUNIPER Bathhouse + Botanica

Born in the Midwest and raised by the waters of Lake Tahoe, an upbringing that planted an early reverence for water, land, and the quiet intelligence between them. That reverence became a practice: herbal alchemy, bioregional herbalism, and Usui Reiki, gathered over years and now woven into everything she offers as steward of JUNIPER Bathhouse + Botanical at Native Plant Spa, and maker behind Sovereignty Apothecary.

Eleven years in Taos have deepened that work into something seasonal and slow. She sees the copper tub and stone bed as vessels for return rather than amenities, and the apothecary as an ongoing study of this high desert landscape and its seasonal evolution. She'll be on hand throughout the Open House for Human Design readings and conversation at the apothecary table.

Deep, powerful and releasing are what comes to mind for my massage with Shami. This experience was more like a medicine journey as I went deep into my psyche as she lovingly worked my body. Her hands are super strong and was able to work into the knots I was carrying. As our physical bodies hold onto stuck emotions, I was able to move and release a lot of what was inside as my body was releasing tension. I melted when she massaged my head and hands. I could’ve stayed for hours. I highly recommend a session with Shami”. “Thank you so much!”

Native Plant Spa is truly a little oasis in the middle of Taos. I did the stone and herbal ritual with a friend, and it was such a special experience. I usually can only tolerate steam saunas for 5–10 minutes, but with the herbs I was able to stay for 15–20 minutes—and my lungs felt incredibly soothed afterward.

I loved the rhythm of moving between the hot stone bed, sauna, and tub. Ella has created such a peaceful, intentional space, and finishing with delicious chai and energy balls was the perfect touch.

Words can barely describe my Renewal Journey with Shami, I truly felt how deeply dedicated she was to helping my energy move. Her knowledge of the body really shined! I was in awe, taken into a deep trance throughout her movements. She transported me with her singing bowls and affirmations, a true CLEANSING RITUAL that helped clear my physical and emotional pain. I feel like a new woman and cannot wait to book again! 11/10"!”
